At NV Consulting, our work is rooted in trust, healing, and the belief that every person—and every program—deserves to be built with care. These projects reflect our commitment to affirm dignity, expand access, and co-create systems that work for those most impacted.
We are grateful to have worked on these projects:
Healing-Centered Housing for Birthmothers
Developed a safe and supportive transitional housing model for birthmothers navigating grief, crisis, or significant life transitions. The program integrates peer-led support, trauma-informed shelter, and protective factor–building activities to foster belonging, healing, and long-term well-being; centered on dignity, choice, and community connection.
Adoption Education & Birthparent Support Initiative
Partnered with an adoption agency to develop and deliver trauma-informed training and outreach for both birthparents and adoptive families. Focused on grief, healing, culturally responsive aftercare, and promoting public awareness around adoption and prevention.
Behavioral Health Needs Assessment & Service Expansion
Contracted by a regional behavioral health provider to conduct a community-informed gap analysis focused on increasing access for underserved populations. Work centered on equity, prevention, and data-informed service design rooted in lived experience.
National Violence Prevention & Survivor Advocacy Campaign
Coordinated a national initiative to address violence and trafficking of women of color, in partnership with a grassroots nonprofit. Brought together survivors, policymakers, and advocates to shape community-driven solutions and elevate survivor-led reform efforts.
Birthmother Suicide Prevention Toolkit & Support Model
Created a peer-informed toolkit and training series for birthmothers navigating post-placement grief, stigma, and suicidal ideation. This project emphasized cultural humility, protective factors, and the need for specialized, healing-centered aftercare.
Community of Practice Training Series (ABHPC)
Delivered statewide workshops on healing-centered prevention, ethical policy advocacy, cross-sector collaboration, and lived experience leadership. Sessions highlighted culturally responsive practices and protective-factor strategies across youth and adult systems.
Co-Occurring Condition Simulation for Providers
Developed and facilitated a training simulation to deepen provider empathy for individuals navigating co-occurring mental health and substance use challenges. Strengthened trauma-informed responses and whole-person care delivery in behavioral health settings.
These projects aren’t just deliverables, they represent relationships, trust, and collective healing. Our work is grounded in community voice and driven by values of connection, care, and lasting change.
